Paul’s Pride & Joy – 1967 Diamond T
Paul needed a semi to be able to haul bucket elevator legs, bins and other equipment to and from jobsites. Paul found his 1967 Diamond T at Inwood Feed & Grain in a quanset hut in 1977. He said it was the first new truck he ever bought. He purchased the truck for $4,500 even though it did not run. He had the engine repaired and then had the truck repainted by Reichert & Monesmith of Bourbon, Indiana. He used the truck all the way up until 2006 when he decided to restore it. He began taking it apart piece by piece and did a little work to it. Paul passed in 2013 with the truck still in pieces. The truck stayed in his barn until 2023 when Joyce passed, and Gregg decided to have it restored. The truck was hauled by Reichert and Knepp to Watkins Truck and Trailer in Plymouth, Indiana. The truck was completely restored and was completed in March of 2025. If Paul were alive today, we are sure he would say “It’s way too nice!” even though he would love it!
